On August 26th, in the production workshop of Jilin Ketai Energy Technology Co., Ltd. located in Shangying Town, Shulan, Jilin, China, pellet machines were running at high speed, and the biomass pellets produced were continuously transported to the storage area through conveyor belts.

In July 2024, the project settled in Chejiaman Village, Shangying Town, marking a zero breakthrough in large-scale biomass pellet production in Jilin Province. The project adopts the “localization of raw materials and industrial greening” model to mass produce high-quality biomass pellets.Shangying Town is located in the extension of Zhangguangcai Ridge of the Changbai Mountains, and the surrounding forest resources are rich. The project converts idle “waste” into clean energy by recycling local straw and forestry residues. It adopts an integrated production line for wood chips, achieving an annual production of 30000 tons of material particles. The expected output value of the first phase of the project is over 20 million yuan, significantly increasing the total industrial economy of the local area.

Biomass pellets, as a clean energy source, have the characteristics of high calorific value and low pollution, and have broad market prospects. The implementation of the project not only brings economic benefits, but also drives more than 20 villagers to achieve “doorstep” employment, further extending the value of rural industries, and exploring a new path of “ecological benefits+economic benefits” win-win for the rural revitalization of Shangying Town.
